Abstract

Abstract: The study of Saccocalyx satureioïdes belonging to the Lamiaceae family and collected from two regions of Algeria, namely:   Djelfa and M'sila, allowed to characterize the different families of chemical compounds contained in its aerial part, The analysis of Saccocalyx saiureioïdes essential oils of the two regions by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS), allowed to identify the following major constituents (borneol 13. 24%, α-Terpineol 27.42% and thymol 34.87%) for the Zaafrane site and (borneol 11.9%, α-Terpineol 14.9% and thymol 41.09%) for the Ain chouhada site, in Saccocalyx satureioides.
